The re-edition of the Persepolis Treasury Tablet PT 080

Abstract

PT 080, a fragmentary tablet from the Persepolis Treasury Archive primarily published George G. Cameron in 1948, belongs to a group of Elamite administrative documents pertaining payments in silver in lieu of wine. In this article, new text restorations are suggested for the missing half of the tablet on comparative and arithmetical grounds. The document was written in the spring of a year between 20th year of the reign of Xerxes and the 1st regnal year of Artaxerxes I (i.e., between 466 and 464 bc) and recorded the rations of 225 Kapirapishian (probably OP *Kafrap-ya-) workmen at Persepolis for all three months of spring.
