Some unpublished legal texts and fragments from Nuzi

Abstract

This article presents various unedited legal texts taken from the Nuzi archives and kept in the British Museum in London. They were selected for their good state of conservation, for their textual genre, or because they mention individuals who reoccur in the life of the site during the 15th to 14th centuries BC. In addition, the re-editing and study of a previously published text for which a transliteration but no original hand-copy was provided is offered; its content is especially interesting from the perspective of inheritance law.
