Old Babylonian texts from Marad found during the 2005-2007 Iraqi excavations, Part 2
Abstract
This article publishes the last group of texts from the 2005-2007 Iraqi expedition at Tell es-Sadoum (ancient Marad). Almost all of the tablets date to the early Old Babylonian period, when Marad was independent, and the following period, when it was ruled by the kings of Babylon. The tablets provide new insights into the usage of Numusda in oaths, into Marad after the Babylonian conquest, and into the Lugal-Marad priesthood.
